  1. JE, I liked these. The out of focus and varying depths of ech image withing each separate piece gives it a taste of time, near and far, that is so important to nostalgis. Also, one is left with each piece as having memories of the piece before it r through similar images that seem repetitious but not. I think nostalgia as concept is one very much misunderstood for what it actually is an emotional quality. I leave you with my own poor attempt to put it into words that I have as yet to post on my site.

    Nostalgia

Please let me go! Leave me, let me go again
To cry and smile my songs into pain
From the old wound I pray never heals.
Memory is lost on me it is its ache
That I desire to embrace with loving arms
As often as each second will allow.

There were no days as those I had
In which, though hurt by thoughts,
I felt the longing in the loss of myself
And ache to feel that empty past once more.
The past that does not exist.

    1. Thank you very much, KB– You always manage to leave the best comments, it is truly appreciated! I really enjoyed the poem and you are definitely being way too hard on yourself by calling it a ‘poor attempt’… I think you described it all perfectly! Hope you have a great week over there, take care!

    1. Thanks– Yes, I think the first one is my favorite, but there are little areas / images on each page that represent many different things when I look upon them, since this is a compilation of selected images that were captured over the course of nearly twenty years! Thanks for the comment, have a great day!

    1. Thank you, Millie– As usual I like your choice of words! Spent a few weeks organizing tons of old stuff, reminiscing, etc. But I am growing tired of the past, time to move on. Hope all is well over there, take care!

      1. Thanks, things have been going really good– Trying to stay busy everyday! I have invested a few thousand bucks this year into taking the studio to the next level, already have it to where I can print / scan / frame anything as big as a poster here, phase 2 is in the works [To be able to self publish books and comics on a professional level], phase 3 [film] all depends on the overall success of phase 1 & 2. Anyway, tons of projects are being worked on! Hope you’re doing well over there as well, of course– Oh, and let me know if you ever visit America– Take care!
