  1. I wonder if Orwell’s idea on the decay of language is referring to semantics, lack of communication, or apathy? Modern society suffers from all three.

    1. Thanks for the comment, Dave! Yes, I think he was referring to all of these, and perhaps to many more aspects as well– I have seen countless abbreviations and misspelled words in text messages and through forms of communication on the internet [And I have even heard people say things like ‘lol’ and ‘hashtag’ out loud in real conversations!]. But those things are quite minor compared to other issues- Loss of vocabulary, censoring classics [Such as what has happened a couple of times while transferring classics over to e-book format], and then just the media twisting words and phrases around to fit objectives also come to mind. Btw, have great one over there!

    1. Thank you! 🙂 I have been spending way too much time working in the studio, actually, and I have been doing my best to get out every few days to have something of a social life. But I’m glad you like them! Keep up the great work over there as well, take care!

    1. Thanks, Mike! Yes, I knew from the beginning that Orwell would be used at some point during this series- I just didn’t know which quote would end up going with which set of images until I woke up and started sipping on the coffee this morning [I try not to ever plan anything too far ahead or it will all start to become boring / routine]. Thanks for the comment and enjoy the day over there!

    1. Thank you very much, Anita! It was difficult to settle upon just one quote from Orwell- He had so many fantastic quotes! Thank you for the comment and the kind words. I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving over there as well! 🙂
