“To the solemn graves,

near a lonely cemetery,

my heart like a muffled drum

is beating funeral marches.”

–Charles Baudelaire

    1. Thank you! Yes, he was definitely one of the greats! Just recently reread ‘The Flowers of Evil’ for the first time in seventeen years. Have a great one over there!

    1. Thanks, Millie! I love reading Baudelaire- I wish that I was able to speak in his style of writing all the time [It would be awkward in ways, but it would really mess with people!]. *I like the new pic as well! Have a great one! 🙂

      1. Maybe you can quote Baudelaire for a special occasion. The 21st century can definitely use a dose of class. 🙂

        Thanks, and you too!

      2. Yes, I would have to agree with you on that!

        Perhaps you’re right, I’m going to try and do that. The next time I’m leaving somewhere I’ll just say something like:
        “In vaults of fathomless obscurity
        Where destiny has sentenced me for life;
        Where cheerful rosy beams may never shine;
        Where, living with that sullen hostess, Night.”
        Then just wait and see what their response is!
