Charlotte pulled away from the embrace and held her husband at arm’s length. She looked up at his face. Her blue eyes were shimmering with fiery fascination.
Jack laughed. “I am real!” He said. “I cannot explain the forces that allowed me to cross over to this world today- But the spectral form I encountered in outer space-I think it was God…”
“This other place that you left behind-” Charlotte paused mid-sentence. She suddenly remembered what the voice in her dream had told her:

2)

He believes that he has crossed over from his world and into another dimension. Even though this is not exactly what has happened to him it is imperative that he believes this explanation until the time is right.’
“Yes?” Jack said.
“Was I there, too?”
“Of course you were there! We had just recently celebrated our fifteenth anniversary! This morning you had already left for work by the time that I climbed out of bed.”

3)

“Really?” She said.
He nodded. “It was just a typical day. I was working on a painting when I decided to go out for a walk. Hermes was there- Being lazy and rolling around on the ground.”
She chuckled nervously. If the voice was telling the truth then this other version of me- And the cat- Were they just creations in his mind? Charlotte thought. A sort of simulated afterlife that attempted to reconstruct what made him happy and comfortable?
“Please, continue.” She said.

  1. I’m getting drawn in… and your hard work shows. Excellent result – the images buoy up the narrative and give it the edge the story needs to get readers back. :)) Are any publishers logged in? Are you on Twitter… if not, you might like to consider linking up this one to Twitter.

    1. Thanks again [And thanks for reading]! No, I don’t have a twitter account at this time- I have been debating on it, though! Have a wonderful day over there! 🙂

    1. 🙂 Thank you- And thanks for reading! I am going to try to create / post more frequently on this tale for the next couple of months. Keep up the great work over there & enjoy the day!

    1. Thanks, Susan! I played around with a few different approaches to the format for this a few months ago when I started work on the tale- At one point I nearly just posted one pic & one box of writing at a time [Like the story going on Arcane Arrangements]. But I decided to offer more per post since they take so long to create. Glad you like it- Thanks for reading and for the support. Take care!
