1)

May 21st-

Natasha’s assistant called the next morning. She informed me that the money had been electronically transferred an hour ago and that an employee of the gallery would be stopping by to pick up the painting.

I closed the cell phone and was explaining the call to Charlotte when I heard the doorbell chime.

It was the same guy from the night before.

“What, she’s not making you wear the collar today?” I said.

“Very funny.” He said.

2)

I walked into the studio and picked up the large canvas. I carried it back to the front door and handed it over.

“Nice doing business with you.” I said. But he didn’t respond- Just walked outside with the painting under one arm.

“That was weird.” Charlotte said. She had been sitting on the couch nearby watching the whole interaction.

“No kidding.” I said. I picked up my cell and called to verify that the eight thousand dollars had been wired- Although calling them

3)

dollars was a bit of a misnomer, since the nations dollar had been nullified by debt years ago- Replaced by the new electronic global currency.

I had been hearing horror stories from many people who had been overheard speaking out against the new system- Only to have all of their electronic money disappear from their accounts the next day.

Everyone knew that there were sinister forces at play behind the scenes- That some sort of terrible hierarchy had been secretly established.

  1. You keep adding these very relevant subjects in your story, now about the collapse of the dollar. I think it is one of the reasons why this story is interesting. I think the collapse of the dollar is very imminent in our future.

    1. Well, I sincerely hope that does not happen because of all of the horrible consequences that would be involved- But, unfortunately, it does appear that we are heading in that direction most days! Thanks again for reading & for the comment!
