The low, steady hum continued-
Jack was sitting cross-legged in the wooded valley with his eyes closed. The noise was coming from the earth and it was putting a spell on him- His breathing rate had slowed down considerably and the world seemed like a very tranquil and harmonious place.
There were many soft crackling sounds as the forest continued to transform all around him. Jack attempted to open his eyes and quickly discovered that he could not. The hum increased and he lost consciousness.

Nothingness- Darkness, void… The sensation of floating. Freezing cold… Naked and alone.
Am I dead?
A tiny pinprick of white light appeared a million miles away. Then he observed a second light, a dozen, a thousand lights. They were all pulsing and flickering.
He was aimlessly drifting in outer space…
A massive spectral form was gliding toward him… It was the ghost of a planet. It was the ghost of all planets.
The beginning and the end.

The spirit passed through him and Jack understood that it was a part of him- A part of everything.
The cold that pervaded his body was suddenly replaced with a sudden warmth… The heat intensified.
He turned his head around and saw that he was floating toward a huge orb of energy.
Sweeping arcs of liquid plasma. Swirling eruptions of light and power. Black patches of inactivity.
I’m on a collision course with a star

  1. These are really really fantastic….loving them so far!! Very interesting to have these laid out the way you do…I like the layout 🙂

I figured out (finally haha) how to make a facebook page different from my profile…so if you wanted to check it out that would be cool! 😀 Had to do something different than a ‘profile page’ for WordPress to let me have the ‘like box’. Sorry to ramble, just very very happy I finally figured it out!!! lol 😉 If you want to check it out you can go to my blog 🙂

    1. Hi Christina- Thanks for reading, I’m glad that you’re enjoying them! I’ve been enjoying the creation of this series and it’s likely that I’m going to keep it going for some time to come… I will definitely check out your new fb page, have a great day! 🙂

      1. I’m so glad to hear there will be more to look forward too! You have a really great day too! 😀 And thank you for checking it out…been fighting it (fb) so when it finally worked I felt victory LOL :p

    1. Thanks, Ella Dee! This one took about twice as long as usual, due to the photos being more elaborate to create, the writing a bit more abstract, etc. Have a great one over there! 🙂

  2. As usual, great story! The photos are also really great! Keep up the good work pal! You have a really nice talent! Preserve it; as short story writing doesn’t come as a talent to many a people (especially me!)

    1. Thank you very much for the nice comment! This story is going to open up into a large, sprawling tale & I’ve been putting many hours of work into it, so it is a relief to see that people are enjoying it! Thanks for reading and have a great week!

    1. Thank you, Zowie! I’ve been trying to create a new page of this story every couple of days- Sometimes I hit my deadline, other times it takes a day or too longer- Depends on how busy I am / how involved the imagery and writing is for that part. Glad you’re enjoying it, have a great day! 😉

    1. Thank you very much, Paul! Sorry for the late response, this comment slipped by me somehow & I just discovered it– Thanks for reading and have a great one over there! 🙂

    1. No kidding! I have suffered through some really bad days on this planet, but luckily I haven’t had to deal with being absorbed by a star / the sun [At least not yet!]. Thanks for reading & enjoy the day!
